Why is there a Collector Discount?

Tasty Toastys is a collection of 7,601 randomly generated digital collectibles (NFTs) on the Ethereum blockchain. After the collection sold out in early 2022, the funds raised were used to kickstart a brand about all things warm & Toasty brand, starting mainly with collectible plushies. 

As part of the brand's origin story, owners of the Tasty Toastys digital collectibles will always enjoy exclusive discounts for physical Toasty products.

How much is the Collector Discount?

Token IDs 1 - 391 (Genesis Trait) get double the discounts of Token IDs 392 - 7600. This is because they usually belong to the absolute earliest supporters of our brand.

Each product has a different Collector Discount, depending on the type of product and our cost price as a new brand. You will be able to see the actual rate while going through the token-gated checkout process.

Our team reserves all rights to make amendments to the discount rate according to business conditions.

How do I use my Collector Discount?

We recommend using a desktop browser with Metamask wallet extension for the smoothest experience. Token-gated e-commerce is still relatively new, thank you for trying this out with us! 

If you are on mobile, please use Metamask mobile browser within the Metamask app. 

On your Metamask mobile app, click on "Browser" & enter shop.tastytoastys.com there, before attempting to connect your Metamask wallet. 

On a product page

  • Click 'Connect Wallet' and follow the prompts that pop-up.
  • Once your wallet has been connected, click 'Apply Discount'.
  • A list of your NFT(s) should pop up. Please allow the app time to load as it retrieves your Toasty token information.
  • If you have Genesis Toasty NFT(s), make sure to select that as the NFT with which you are applying your discount for a better rate.
  • You'll know you have successfully added to cart when you see the 🍞🔥 confetti.
  • You will not need to click 'Add to Cart' again. You should see the item in your cart when you click the shopping bag icon on the header.
  • Note: The 'Add to Cart' button is there as an option for those who do not have digital collectibles. If you use this button, there will not be a discount applied to the product.

On the cart page

  • If you select 'Yes' to shipping insurance, please refresh the page before proceeding.
  • To confirm your order, click 'Checkout with Collector Discount'. 
  • You will be brought to the checkout page, where you can see your discount reflected, before entering any payment details.

Common Problems

  • The token-gating buttons may take a few more seconds than you might expect to load. Please be patient.
  • If you abandon the checkout process (i.e. gone past the cart page), and return to the site to checkout again later, you may not be able to add additional items to the cart without completing your first checkout. If this happens, you will have to clear your cart, and restart the process.

    What token-gating solution do you use?

    Why do I have to sign a message when connecting my wallet?

    Signing a message is required to prove that you’re in control of the wallet you are connecting.

    Signing is a safe, gas-less transaction that does not in any way give the token-gating application permission to perform any transactions on your behalf.

    Nevertheless, we recommend that you always double-check any sign requests, before going ahead to confirm.

    How do I disconnect my wallet?

    At any point in time that you wish to disconnect your wallet, click the white button on any product page displaying your wallet address / ENS to bring up the "Disconnect" button.

    Once you have clicked "Disconnect", if you wish to connect your wallet again in future, you will need to sign a message asking for permission again.

    What if I don't have a wallet on my browser?

    The token-gating application will suggest that you install Metamask, with a link to https://metamask.io.
